The Taj Mahal and Other Great Places in India

If you have a visit to the Taj Mahal on your Bucket List, we strongly suggest thinking about doing a few other things while you are there, since it is a pretty long trip all the way to India. There are many palaces, temples, forts, animals landmarks and geographical wonders in India. Reach out to us if you would like to plan your trip to India.

What is the Taj Mahal?

While many people think that the Taj mahal is a palace, they could not be more wrong. It is actually a monument. The emperor of the Mughal Empire, Shah Jahan, built the Taj Mahal as a monument to his favorite wife.

Where is the Taj Mahal?

The Taj Mahal is located in Northern India, about 2-4 hours away from New Delhi, depending on traffic. It is specifically in the city of Agra.

What is the best way to get to the Taj Mahal?

The best way to get to the Taj Mahal is to fly to Agra's airport. Your hotel's car can pick you up from there. From New Delhi, you can either take the train or a bus. While we have travelled all over the world and believe that renting a car can be a good idea in most countries; we strongly suggest that you do not think about renting a car in India. We also suggest a first class train ticket from new Delhi to Agra. All of this can be arranged by our team. Contact us to make your India Plans

Do you have a suggested itinerary for trips to the Taj Mahal?

We have several partner tour operaters in India. Because life in India is so different than the western world, many people are not that comfortable making their own plans in India. We would suggest a few tour options in Noprthern India. One of our favorite travel partners is offering a Golden Triangle Tour, which includes the Taj Mahal, New Delhi, Fahtepur Sikri and some other amazing sights.
